Camel Mission Foundation is organized and operated exclusively for the charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or the corresponding provision of any future United States internal revenue law, and is engaged in, among other activities in furtherance of its charitable purposes, the preservation, maintenance, and restoration of the tangible properties (real and personal) of Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo, CA. The Carmel Mission Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. It is legally and organizationally separate and distinct from Carmel Mission Basilica and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Monterey.
