The Foundation offers engagements throughout the year ranging from lecture series and speaker forums to historic presentations for local clubs and civic organizations. The Carmel Mission Foundation aims to share the incredible history of Carmel Mission and its involvement through three centuries of US, California, and Monterey Peninsula history. We hope you will join us!
LECTURE SERIES
The CMF Lecture Series features a diverse range of public lectures and readings by renowned historians, scholars, archeologists, and experts that are invited by the Board of Directors, Donors, CMF Historical Society, and Volunteers. Thank you to the CMF community for contributing to the success of the Foundation Lecture Series by participating in lectures and submitting speaker nominations.

SPEAKER FORUMS
These engaging forums offer multiple speakers, whose expertise in various areas of Mission, California, Spanish, and local history, bring a broad spectrum of insight to talks, historical debates, and academic forums to educate and entertain our audience. These forums are offered in a variety of different formats such as moderated conversations, Q&A's, or a fireside chat.
All Speaker Forums are open to the public.
PRESENTATIONS
The Carmel Mission Foundation has created visual presentations and videos to share the 250 year history of Carmel Mission from its founding in 1771 through the modern day restoration. These presentations are led by the Foundation staff and highlight the Mission's history through historic sketches and images and tell an incredible story of this National Landmark's endurance from mission-era, through the formation of the Monterey Peninsula, to modern restoration.
These engaging in-person or online presentations are offered to organizations, local societies, member and service clubs, at community or school events, or for anyone interested in Carmel Mission and California history.
